Darla Garrett- Gaige-He is doing good. They are going to keep him sedated for a couple of days and the vent is doing all of the breathing for him for now, otherwise he is doing good.
Please continue with your thoughts and prayers.

Darla Garrett-  Things are going well with surgery.  Gaige will be on a ventilator for a couple of days until he gets stronger.   The surgery is going quicker than expected, which is good news.  A little more info.  Rhonda just said they put the biggest shunt in they could to try to keep from doing another surgery before a year is up.  If not, he would have to have another surgery in December of this year.  The pager went off when I was talking to Rhonda so she had to go.  She seemed very upbeat and excited.

Darla Garrett- (co-worker's grandson) Gaige will have his
surgery around 11:00 tomorrow (6/11/09).  Please keep the family and
baby Gaige in your prayers this evening and in the morning.  The surgery
will take approx 4-5 hours.
