Bonnie Parsons- My friend Judy Coleman, her daughter Jennifer is losing her battle with cancer please lift them up in prayer.

Jim Johnson-Friend, Mark Graves daughter, Erin, age 32 had a heart attack and passed away.  She leaves behind a husband and two daughters ages 14 and 12.  They do not have insurance.  Please keep this family in your prayers during their time of grief.

Jennifer Cottrell- Joe Marter is having surgery today at St Francis Mooresville – emergency bone removal today, experiencing additional complications due to infection and diabetes.

Chris Brown- My friend Pat Mason was diagnosed yesterday with Lymphoma she is in her 60's and she is worried as her husband passed away years ago with Cancer also. Pray that she listens to the Lord and does what is needed.

Madison, Valley Mills Kindergarten student, has been sick since Friday and although they didn't blood test her for it they are treating her for h1n1. She had a 104 temp from Friday to Sunday then it went to cough and congestion and now back to 104 temp. They have put her on tamaflu...so we will see where it goes from here.

Jim/Ruthie Fletcher-  A neighbor of ours Chris and Debbie Blackwell just lost their 30 year old daughter,  in Florida to H1N1 influenza. She leaves a husband and a 6 month old baby.  We are requesting prayer for the Blackwell and Loveless family during this devastating time. I don't know if these families have a church home so our surrounding them with prayer and caring at this time is important regardless.

Paula Ground- I work with a lady, Leigh who has requested prayer for her Mother Deloris Pierce that is having surgery Thursday morning at St. Francis Beech Grove. Deloris is 79 years young and has a broken fiba, tiba and ankle.

Sherrie Vaughan-  Please pray for the Swanson family, their 9 year old son Landry passed away from spinal meningitis and H1N1 last evening.  Also, pray for safe travels as this family lives in Oklahoma and many will be traveling to be with the them.  

Marilyn Hickrod- My friend Marti’s unborn grandbaby, expected to have life threatening birth defects. My Mom’s church secretary --colon surgery for possible cancer, then during recovery got H1N1. Friend Marian’s cousin Jan has lymphoma. All need prayers.

Jackie Frakes- One of my very good friends for many years told me today a new doctor found a 15 to 17 inch growth in her stomach.  She is a Christian Sister and her faith is strong.  She's been suffering for several years and had more than one bout of Cancer.  Her husband isn't much better.  The growth  apparently involves her lymph nodes.  They will know more after the blood work gets back.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Marilyn Hickrod-My friend’s unborn grandbaby; the family lives out of state; very sick, the baby has downs and Atrioventricular Septal Defect AVSD. Please pray for them and the sibling. Baby is due in a few months.

Paula Ground- Please pray for all the people in my training class: Shantey, Sheree, Laura, Monica, Lemonte, Larry, Marc, Tisha & myself. Satan is very alive and active in this room and the battles have been difficult ones while in training. I will not go into details, God knows what they. The plan at this time is training will be complete on Friday. Also include the trainer Mary.

Mike McHone:  Gary Rusie will be having double bypass surgery next Wednesday.

Darla Garrett--9/14 Update for Wyatt Stevens Wyatt's heart is at 20% capacity. If it's not at least 50% by Wednesday, he will have open heart surgery.  His heart was at 12% and has improved to 20% and he has responded somewhat to "Sponge Bob" music.  9/15 evening: Wyatt had complications from the ecmo machine that saved his life earlier, he had a stroke early this morning, had 2 blood clots on his brain. He had his skull opened up to relieve the pressure and stop the bleeding. He survived the surgery but they ...have no idea how much damage was done or what his functions will be if he makes it. He was removed from the ecmo (heart) machine and his heart is 30% efficient. It's now a waiting game, they've done everything they can as he is no longer a candidate for the Berlin Heart due to the strokes and neuro-damage. Prayers are needed for Wyatt Stevens and his family.

Darla Garrett- Co-worker, Linda- husband, Richard had another heart attack. Please keep Linda and Richard in your prayers.  Update**They are putting a defibrillator in Richard this afternoon. She said he is doing good, and if everything goes OK with this procedure today then they could possibly release him tomorrow. 

Paula Ground- A co-worker Debbie Thorpe told me that her father John Blevins is in Ball Memorial Hospital with Stage 4 cancer. She has asked for prayers for her father.

Valerie Herman-  I just got an update from my coworker whose Mom, Ruth King, has been on VMCC’s prayer list for several months now.  She has lung cancer and has been going through chemo.  They thought the chemo wasn’t going to shrink the tumors, just keep them from growing.  Well, yesterday she got the results of the CT scan and PRAISE GOD the cancer is GONE in the lymph nodes & adrenal glands.  The pulmonary embolism is also GONE and the primary tumor that was the size of a golf ball is now the size of a penny!  Ruth was ready to give up because she’s been feeling so bad and thought the chemo wasn’t working.  If the CT results weren’t good, she was going to stop treatment. And the best part of all this……my coworker, Lori, who questioned the power of prayer now says she wholeheartedly believes in the power of prayer!  Praise God and thank you all for your continued prayers!  God is GOOD!

Andy Ginter-Angie and the rest of her office staff as they transition into work without their founding partner – Mr. Walker as he has passed away.  Also pray for Mr. Walker’s wife of 62 years – Ruth Walker as she adjusts as well.

 

Paula Ground- (from one of my trainers in Clark County)   Andrea Young accidently backed over her daughter this afternoon. Ava is 17  months old. All we know at this time is that her husband John had  both children on the porch as she was leaving, somehow she ran out behind Andrea's vehicle and Andrea did not see her.  Ava is being airlifted to either Lexington or Knoxville.  I am asking everyone to ask for God's graces on this family. I can only image the terror that they are feeling right now. 

Marlena Jordan- Prayer for Katy Hanley family and the Eva Showers family. They both passed away this week.

Darla Garrett- My manager's (Mary Beth Price) mom will hopefully have the pacemaker put in on Wednesday if they can get her off of the Coumadin for the surgery. My co-worker (Heather Reams) grandmother passed away last night.

Darla Garrett- Gaige-He is doing good. They are going to keep him sedated for a couple of days and the vent is doing all of the breathing for him for now, otherwise he is doing good.

Darla Garrett-  Things are going well with surgery.  Gaige will be on a ventilator for a couple of days until he gets stronger.   The surgery is going quicker than expected, which is good news.  A little more info.  Rhonda just said they put the biggest shunt in they could to try to keep from doing another surgery before a year is up.  If not, he would have to have another surgery in December of this year.  The pager went off when I was talking to Rhonda so she had to go.  She seemed very upbeat and excited.

will take approx 4-5 hours.

Wagners-  Please be in prayer for Austin's friend and his family.  Noah went missing while on vacation in Switzerland.  Be in pray for this family and for all of the kids who will be dealing with this horribly tragic loss.  Noah's mother has asked for prayer for lots and lots of rain.  They believe this will help in the recovery efforts.

Paula Raters-Wes, a friend/co-worker has been diagnosed with hodgkin's lymphoma, he had his first chemo treatment last week and they will continue for the next 6 months. I'm asking for prayers for him, his wife and family as they go through this difficult time.

Pray for Alyssa Elmore, age 5 and Dominic Brooks, age 10.  They are suffering from severe burns from a exploding paint can.  Keep them in your prayers.

Jim Slear- Sheila McLaughlin (a friend) - she just found out that her cancer is back and will be having appropriate therapy.

Susan McGrath- Please pray for a family of a friend. They lost there 16 year old son Friday April 10. His name is David Neeld. Parents are Damian and Sally Neeld.

Darla Garrett- My coworker that will be having induced labor with the baby that heart defect, They can not get any movement and are taking her via ambulance to the hospital.
They have a heartbeat but no movement – her due date is about May 1st, but were going to induce Tuesday 4/21. Not sure what is happening now. Please keep Brittany and Frank and their baby in your prayers as well as the rest of the family.

Larry Thompson- My supervisor's dad broke his hip yesterday and they are unable to do surgery due to the fact that he now has pneumonia and conjestive heart failure. He is not expected to make it through. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Tasha Delclef--I'm heading to the vet in awhile to see what's up with Sadie She has been vomitting and dry heaving off and on for a week or so and although she seems mostly fine, she is looking a bit weak and even had an accident (which she has NEVER done)yesterday. She's 8 1/2 yrs so I know she is slowing down, but we can't seem to figure out if she's getting into something outside or if she has a bug or what. Things aren't happening until late at night or when we are gone, so I'm dragging with lack of sleep and not wanting to leave her. Please pray for me as these are similar symptoms Emmo and Josie had before they died. I don't 'do' the vet thing very well - just about as well as the dentist!!! I'm praying and trusting that God will guide us through this week!!

Danny Dickerson- Danny had his surgery early Tuesday. He just called and everything seemed to go well. He is home. Please keep him in your prayers as he recovers.

Tasha Delclef- Pray for a former co-worker—Jonathon. He has Krone’s disease and his they have made cuts at work. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Cindy Stroud- We have a friend that we would like prayer for- Mark has stage 4 cancer in his stomach and cannot eat. Please pray for him and his wife.
